During her Verona, Italy show on Sunday evening, Adele brought her show to a halt in order to admonish a fan for filming her while she sang.
Adele, known for her quick wit and grace under fire, demonstrated her gift for the gab once again as she shut down the fan filming her.
Wearing one of her signature black sequinned gowns, the 28-year-old singer was performing at the Arena di Verona when she saw the concertgoer with recording equipment (a camera and a tripod).
Pointing to her, she said:
“Yeah, I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with a video camera because I’m really here in real life. You can enjoy it in real life, rather than through your camera.”
“Can you take your tripod down? This isn’t a DVD, this is a real show, and I would really like you to enjoy my show because there’s lots of people outside that couldn’t come in.”
The whole exchange was captured by another concertgoer, who posted it on Twitter.
The British singer has recently splashed out $9.5million on a mansion in LA County in a top secret sale. The mansion boasts of four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool, a treehouse and even an outdoor train set.
The 6,600 square foot home is set in an exclusive gated community and she got herself a bargain, as the property was initially listed at $9.9million.
Adele reportedly recently signed a £90million record deal — the biggest ever handed to a British musician. The singer’s Sony Music contract tops the £80million EMI paid Robbie Williams in 2002.
It is also the most valuable for a woman, eclipsing Whitney Houston’s £70million from Arista in 2001.
Adele, who according to this year’s Sunday Times Rich List, is already worth £85million, with this deal, will nearly double her fortune overnight to a staggering £175million.
