Earlier today, some workers of the federal ministry of finance, Abuja barricaded the main gate of the federal ministry of finance in a protest against the Minister of finance.
The workers who were in their hundreds, protested over what they described as her constant maltreatment of workers in the ministry.
They workers were heard chanting songs and carrying placards with various inscriptions accusing the minister of negligence.
Some of the placards read:
“Inflation is 15% courtesy of
Adeosun”;
“Adeosun score card is zero”;
“You are destroying Federal Ministry of Finance” and “Kemi
Adeosun must go” among others.
Some of the workers who spoke anonymously to reporters accused the minister of not paying their salaries, while claiming that the Minister herself has been collecting her own allowances. Others said the minister was disrespectful and had no regards for civil servants.
